She was predeceased by: her parents, Ben Franklin Whiting and Zelia Marie Lewis (Ewing); and her siblings, Emerson Whiting, Bennie Whiting, Talmadge Whiting, Roy Whiting, James Whiting, Zelda Evans (Whiting) and Catherine Pack (Whiting).

She is survived by: her husband Stephen Hurley Sr.; her son Stephen Hurley Jr. (Tammy) of Sidney, OH; her granddaughter Madison Hurley of Columbus, OH; and her stepgrandson George Mathew Crans (Jessica) of Jacksonville, NC. She is also survived by many step-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
