With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Charles Sullenberger of Piqua, Ohio, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his mother Mabel Foster; and his siblings, Richard "Dick" Sullenberger and Shirley Wright. He is survived by: his stepfather Charles "J. R." Foster; his children, Doug Spain (Kathy) of Troy, Tammie Kilgore of Piqua, Bill Sullenberger (Dana) of Connersville and Mike Sullenberger (Amanda Wynn) of Piqua; his grandchildren, Angela Spain (Carlos Llamas), Doug Spain (Karen), Matt Spain (Ashley), Ryan Kilgore (Molli), Michael Sullenberger (Courtney), Melanie Hansen (Will), MacKenzie Sullenberger (Samantha), Mason Sullenberger (Megan), Shelbi Blake (Joe), Jesica Hole, Cassidy Haney (Mike) and Keegan Wynn; and his sister Sherry Sullenberger (Denny) of Chillicothe. He is also survived by 24 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 28th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home (333 High St, Piqua, OH 45356). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
