She was predeceased by: her parents, Gaylord Kerns and Louella Kerns (Cotterman); her sister Lillian Altemeier; her niece Louella Sloan; and her brother-in-law Donald C. Wawsczyk, Jr..
She is survived by: her husband Dennis A. Stroud; and her sisters, Carol Wawsczyk of Sidney and Laverna Manor (Wayne) of Michigan. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
