We announce the death of Debra D. Abner of Piqua, Ohio, who passed away on August 27, 2026, at the age of 61. Debra will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Debra will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Debra will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Debra’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Spellman and Vella Spellman (Longstreath); and her son Phillip Spellman. She is survived by: her husband Johnathon E. Abner; her daughter Ambrosia Rapp; and her siblings, Pamela Gregory and Kenneth Spellman. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; three nephews, five nieces, and twenty-three great nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Melcher Sowers Funeral Home (646 High St, Piqua, OH 45356).
