He was predeceased by: his parents, George Everett and Virginia Irene Shuman (Mendenhall); his son-in-law Ron Mote; and his brothers, Everett Shuman, Arthur Shuman and Paul David Shuman.
He is survived by: his wife Marcia Ann Shuman; his children, Annette Mote of Piqua, Ben Shuman (Jennifer Dailing) and Katie (Aaron Motter); his grandchildren, Chase, Tanner and Cameo "Mandie"; his great grandchild Coner; his brother Larry Shuman of Pleasant Hill; and his sister-in-law Cynda Shuman Renner of Troy.
