He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Burkholder and Ruth Burkholder (Glotfelty); his wife Betty Lois Burkholder (Rismiller); and his brother Darwin Burkholder. He is survived by: his children, Eric Burkholder (Terri) of Piqua and Lois Holland (Michael) of Piqua; and his grandchildren, Nathan Burkholder, Lee and Ashlee McPherson.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home (1124 W Main St, Troy, OH 45373). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Ohio's Hospice (https://www.ohioshospice.org) of Miami County.
