He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin C. Bertke and Harriet H. Bertke (Meirose); his siblings, William Bertke, Thomas Bertke, Steve Bertke, Edwin Bertke and Susan Bertke; his son-in-law Kurt Ritzhaupt; and his granddaughter Salla Quinn Ritzhaupt.
He is survived by: his children, Tonya Bertke of Piqua, Brian Bertke (Mellissa) of Port St, Andrea Ritzhaupt of Piqua, John Bertke (Dawn) of Troy and Michael Bertke (Jackie) of Sidney; and his siblings, Bonnie O'Connor of Fairview Park, Robert Bertke of Avon, Linda Calfria of Lakewood and Barb Moran (Charlie) of Fairview Park. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (528 Broadway, Piqua, OH 45356).
