He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Evans and Barbara Evans (Ziegler); his son-in-law John "J. B." Brown, III; his brother-in-law Robert Mikolajewski; and his nephew-in-law Ryan Knisley.
He is survived by: his children, Matthew Evans (Alisha) of Piqua and Jennifer Brewer (K. C.) of Columbus; his grandsons, Johnny Brown IV, Joseph Brown and Jimmy Brown; his stepgranddaughters, Kennedy Brewer and Kinsely Brewer; his sister Jane Mikolajewski of Piqua; his niece Katie Knisley; and his nephews, Brian Mikolajewski (Heather), Kevin Mikolajewski (Kristi) and Jon Mikolajewski. He is also survived by great nieces, great nephews and many friends.
