He was predeceased by: his sister Lisa Marie Wendel; and his parents, James Duell and James Simmons. He is survived by: his wife Toni L. Wendel (Whittaker); his children, Bambi (Robert Wagner), Bret Wendel of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Michael W. R. Wendel of Piqua and Paul J. Wendel of Piqua; his grandchildren, Dakota Kitchen, Zachary Kitchen, Ashton Kitchen, Kolton Wagner and Kayden Wendel; his great grandchildren, Ayden and Nikola; and his siblings, Mark (Tammy Wendel), William "Bill" D. Wendel of Covington, Marcia (Mike Scherer), Scott Wendel of Covington and Matthew (Jan Wendel). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many dear friends.
