It is with sadness that the passing of Richard H. Toomey of Piqua, Ohio is shared. Richard, born on May 31, 1942, passed away on September 24, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Toomey and Maudie Toomey (Hall); his mother-in-law Betty L. Toomey (Ball); and his siblings, Reginald Toomey and Rosemary Washburn.
He is survived by: his sons, Scott (Kendra Toomey) and Brian Toomey of Taylor Mill, KY; his brother Jack (Marta Toomey); and his grandchildren, Finley, Kalee, Tyler, Trevor, Trenton, Katlyn and Ryan. He is also survived by three great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Melcher Sowers Funeral Home (646 High St, Piqua, OH 45356). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
