He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest L. Spires and Ella Mae Spires (Franks); his sister Linda K. Gordon; and his sister-in-law Sheila Spires. He is survived by: his brother Robert "Bob" Spires of Lakeview; his nieces and nephews, Robert "Rob" Spires (Buffy), Richard Spires, Tommy Gordon and Kim Gordon Combs; and his brother-in-law Tom Gordon. He is also survived by several other extended family members and friends.
