He was predeceased by: his father David K. Leist; his grandparents, Emerson and Marjorie Armstrong; his mother Mary Ann Moore; his stepfather Jack Moore; and his girlfriend Annette Damron.
He is survived by: his close friends, Midge and Hera; his son David E. Leist; his aunt Rebecca Armstrong Stamm; his cousins, Angela Combs (Craig), Mark Smith, Matthew Smith (Columba) and Nathan Combs; and his close friend Dominic Howley. He is also survived by animals—especially dogs.
Instead of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Union County Humane Society in honor of David's love for his dogs. (UCHS 16540 County Home Road).
