Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the United Bethel Mennonite Church (11342 Lafayette Plain City Rd, Plain City, OH 43064). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memorial contributions toward the ongoing publication of the free devotional, Golden Nuggets, written by Melvin's granddaughter, Susan Phipps, and shared freely as a reflection of his faith.
