She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Bowers and Juanita Bowers; her parents-in-law, Margaret and DeWitt Sr.; her sister Charlene; her brother-in-law Jerry Peters of Madison; her sister Marion; and her brother-in-law Allen Anderson of Lucas, Ohio..
She is survived by: her husband DeWitt Friend Jr.; her children, DeWitt Friend III (Cheryl) of Ashley, Kim VanMeter (Jeff) of Huber Heights and Howard (Cindy); and her friend John. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ferguson Funeral Home (202 E Main St, Plain City, OH 43064). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at 8:00 PM at the same location.
