He was predeceased by: his parents, Edith VanHoose (Skaggs) and Richard VanHoose. He is survived by: his children, Andy VanHoose and Heather Daugherty (VanHoose); his grandchildren, Christopher VanHoose and Tabitha Daugherty; and his siblings, Debbie Thompson (VanHoose), Paul VanHoose and James Hall.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Ferguson Funeral Home (202 E Main St, Plain City, OH 43064). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Richard's memory to a charity of your choice, as a tribute to the generous and caring nature that defined his life.
