He was predeceased by: his daughter Cynthia Decker (Dave); and his siblings, Ina Binkley, Mary Purdy, Robert Christman, James Christman and William Christman.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Hirschbach Christman; his children, Trisha Christman, Robin Dillion, Richard Fitzgerrel (Tina), Jerry Fitzgerrel (Fay) and Perry Fitzgerrel (Ruth); and his sisters-in-law, Betty Christman and Charlotte Christman.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Pleasant Plain Presbyterian Church, the Multiple Sclerosis Society or the American Heart Association.
