We announce the death of Ruth L. Shafer of Pleasantville, Ohio, who passed away on August 11, 2026, at the age of 82. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Scott and Nina Scott; her grandparents, Ray and Goldie Ward; her sister Kay Blair; and her sister-in-law Kathryn Scott.
She is survived by: her husband Michael P.; her brother Phillip C. Scott of Poway, CA; and her siblings-in-law, Jeannette McDonald (Wayne) of Pataskala, Sharon Rumery (George) of Pataskala, Linda Jordan (Mike) of Columbus and Ronald Shafer (Mary Rogers) of Williamsburg, VA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
