It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris A. Welch of Polk, Ohio, who passed away on September 19, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Reed and Helen Reed; her husband W. Dean Welch; her sons, Randy and James Welch; her granddaughters, Abby and Zoe Welch; her brother Bill Reed; her brother-in-law Ralph Daniels; Lorene Gardner (William), Eugene Welch, Ercel Swindaman (Dick), Grace Gardner (Dale) and Mary Louise Smith (Gib).
She is survived by: her children, Julie Rogers (Rod) of Ashland, Nancy Welch of Polk and Michael Welch (Cheryl) of Polk; her daughter-in-law Sandy Welch of Polk; her grandchildren, Shenna Cole (Seth), Joshua Welch (Lindsey), Bethany Szijarto, Aaron Welch (Tonya), Adam Welch (Jill), Missy Schmitz (Matt), Chad Rogers (Amanda), Courtney Bull (Josh), Jonathan Welch (Mara), Ashlee Lucas (Sean) and Reed Welch; her sister Barbie Daniels of Ashland; and her sister-in-law Esther Welch of Polk. She is also survived by 25 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Polk Church of Christ (204 E Congress St, Polk, OH 44866). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Polk Church of Christ; 204 E. Congress St. Polk OH 44866 or to the Polk Lion's Club.
