It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Henry Elias (Pomeroy, Ohio), who passed away on March 22, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Raleigh Henry and Eva Marie Roush Elias; his stepson Timothy Compson; his brothers, Larry Donald Elias and Joseph Franklin Elias; his aunts, Kathleen Overholt, Emmogene Crow, Belva Farley, Clara Burris and Maxine Grimm; and his uncle Emmett Elias.
He is survived by : his wife Janet Kaye Cooper Elias; his children, James Daniel "Danny" Elias (Pamela) of Letart, David Henry Elias (Mary) of Letart, Robert Wayne "Bob" Elias (Shelia) of Letart and Mary Ann Hager (Mark) of Mason; his stepson Mark Compson of Racine; his grandchildren, Ashley Nottingham (Nic), Tara Suchevits (Sean), Jessica Campbell (Eddie), Lindsey Henry (Jason), Josh Elias (Lauren), Phillip Allen, Lydia Walker (Devin) and Alisha Compson (Sandy); his great grandchildren, Hannah Rayburn (Colten), Nicole, James, Jackson Nottingham, Eli, Dax Suchevits, Vivian Campbell, Lian, Naomi Henry, Alaina, Barrett Walker, Emersyn and Oaklynn Compson; the mother of his children Sarah Elias of Letart; and his sisters-in-law, Alexandra Elias of The Villages and Irene Murphy of Point Pleasant.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in James' memory to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
