He was predeceased by: his parents, George and Dorothy; and his wife Cheryl. He is survived by: his children, Christi Brown (Brian) and Michael James (Kirsten); his stepchildren, Stacy Duncan (Stephen), Tracy Heinze and Richard Hysell; his grandchildren, Ashlyn, Elizabeth, Mathias and Caynaan; his sister Jennie Kahn (Nate); his niece April Eddy (Jonathan); his nephew Mathew Kahn (Olivia); and his great-nephew Rowan. He is also survived by his family, friends.
In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the New Haven fire department.
