He was predeceased by: his parents, Ethel May Gecsi and William Gecsi. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Gecsi (Miller); his children, Wendy Goertz Adams (Jason Adams) and Rick Gecsi (Kristin Miller-Gecsi); his grandchildren, Kate Goertz, William Gecsi, Owen Gecsi, Ava Goertz and Blake Goertz; his stepgrandchildren, Olivia Adams, Brightin Miller, Keegan Miller and Camden Miller; and his brother Robert Gecsi (Sandra).

Memorial donations in Ron's honor may be made to the Catawba Island Volunteer Fire Department.
