He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Wise and Zoie Dale Wise (Michael); his former wife Martha Wise (Dill); his daughter Jill Ross; his stepson John Sauner Jr.; and his brothers, Ralph Wise and Curt Wise (Jackie).

He is survived by: his wife Betty Sauner; his daughter Lee Ann Tursi (Michael); his stepchildren, Denise Sloan (Dale), Debra Bailey (Larry) and Chris Sauner; his granddaughters, Megan, Amanda and Mary Tursi; his sister Sharen Johnson; his son-in-law Gary Ross; and his sisters-in-law, Nancy Wise and Betty Woodlee. He is also survived by 7 step-grandchildren and 10 step-great-grandchildren, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Riverwood Community Chapel (1407 Fairchild Ave, Kent, OH 44240). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
