He was predeceased by: his mother Rachel Leona Stevenson; his wife Connie Sue Oppy Stevenson; and his brothers, Terry R. Stevenson, Sr. and Michael Stevenson. He is survived by: his daughters, Dena Taylor (Mark) of West Portsmouth and Andrea Woods (C. J.) of Portsmouth; and his grandchildren, Kieran Woods and Gabriel Taylor.
David gave the Gift of Life through organ and tissue donation.
