She was predeceased by : her parents, Iverson Cave and Claudia Lee McClain Cave; her husband Alex Dickey; and her siblings, Iverson Cave, Jr., Leroy Devlin Cave, Hazella Byrd and Margaree Moreland.

She is survived by : her children, Eric Steven Dickey of North Hollywood, CA, Robert Isaiah Dickey of Portsmouth, Lawrence Anthony Dickey (Mitzi) of Portsmouth and Sheryl Ann Dickey of Ft. Lauderdale, FL.; her niece Dorothy Carr Mitchell of Detroit, MI; her daughter-in-law Joyce Kimberly Dickey of Portsmouth; and her grandchildren, Ryan Washington, Christopher S., Elizabeth, Nathaniel and Gabriel Dickey.
