She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Ernest George and Grace Ramey Burton; her son Joseph Edward Cole; and her siblings, Ernest Burton, Jr., Harold Burton and Norma Smith.
She is survived by: her husband Ralph Edward'Buddy'Cole; her sisters, Rosalie Johnson of Sebring, FL and Thelma Wallace of Livonia, MI; her grandchildren, Nathan Cole and Sara Cole Jones; and her sister-in-law Ruth Ison of Portsmouth. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
