He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Franklin Johnson and Mildred Lucille Johnson (Minnix). He is survived by: his wife Mary Johnson (Rapp); his children, Amanda Roberts (David) of Waynesville and Jared Johnson (Morgan) of Stockdale; his granddaughters, Cora and Kelsey Roberts; and his siblings, Tim Johnson, Scott Johnson (Charlotte), Howard Theobald, Tami Brown (Frank) and Lori Theobald. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Stockdale or Winchester Church of Christ in Christian Union—two places dear to Rick's heart and reflective of the faith that anchored his life.
