He is survived by: his children, Brian T. Armentrout (Susan) and Betsy A. Luers; his grandsons, Samuel E. Luers (Ellen) and Erik M. Luers (Bethany); and his sister Shirley Litwin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
