He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Benjamin and Mary Elizabeth Benjamin; and his siblings, Louise Rickard (Chet) and David Benjamin (Shirley). He is survived by: his sibling's children, Ed Rickard, Chris Rickard, Larry Rickard (Dani), Gary Benjamin (Cathy), Randy Benjamin (Kelli) and Jamie Coleman (Randy).
