He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred C. Sweeney and Hazel Williams Sweeney. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ryan Sweeney; his sons, Robert, Jr. (Meredith) of Westerville and Douglas (Suzanne) of Sunbury, Ohio.; his grandchildren, Madison, Olivia, Erin and Justin; his brother Fred (Carolyn); his siblings-in-law, David, Diane Ryan, Steven and Judith Thornley; and his sibling's children, Megan Bell (Eric), Jeffrey Ryan, Julie Ryan and Mark Thornley (Stephanie).
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Kingwood Memorial Park (8230 Columbus Pike, Lewis Center, OH 43035).
