We announce the death of Russell Keith Benfield (Powell, Ohio), born in Rock Hill, South Carolina, who passed away on July 5, 2026, at the age of 51. Russell will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his father Russell Benfield; his stepfather Keith Gatlin; his uncle Gene Rice; his cousin Casey Rice; and his uncle Danny Rice.

He is survived by: his wife Tobi McLoughlin Benfield; his children, Grae Diane, Gunner Mac and Gambel Shah Benfield; his mother Diane Rice Gatlin; his brother Jamie Benfield (May); his nephew Pierce Benfield; his in-laws, Alan, Diane McLoughlin, Todd and Lori McLoughlin; his nephew Jake McLoughlin; his niece Janie McLoughlin; and his uncle Bobby Rice (Holly). He is also survived by many loving cousins, extended family members, dear friends.
