She was predeceased by: her son Scott Mates; her parents, Lewis DeVault and Leona DeVault; and her sister Sandra McCoy. She is survived by: her husband Rodney Mates; her children, Darla Ratliff and Todd Mates (Michelle); her brother Louie DeVault (Maretta); her grandsons, Jacob Ratliff and Christopher Mates; and her nieces and nephews, Sarah, Abby, Merrill, Joseph DeVault, Melisa Callahan (Steve) and Michael McCoy.
