Theodore Rusen Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Theodore Rusen of Powell, Ohio, who passed away on June 13, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ted Rusen and Mary Rusen (Halischak); and his in-laws, Art and Mary Smith (Maloney). He is survived by: his children, Becky Wagner (Casey), Christy Dorto (Tony) and Marybeth Gallagher (Sean); his grandchildren, Karyssa, Alaina Dorto, Alyvia Wagner, Savannah and Blanton Gallagher; his brother Bill Rusen (Patty); his sister-in-law Becky Smith; and also Anne (Anne Marie Smith). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the St. Paul the Apostle Orthodox Church (4451 Wagner Rd, Dayton, OH 45440). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 4:15 PM at the Calvary Cemetery (3155 E Possum Rd, Springfield, OH 45502).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ted's memory to St. Paul the Apostle Orthodox Church (https://www.stpdayton.org), the church he founded.
