He was predeceased by : his parents, Alfred Hopkins and Geneva Hopkins (Street); his wife Carol (Hitt); and his brothers, Charles "Sonny", Alfred "Al", John, Robert "Bob" and Ernie Hopkins.
He is survived by : his daughters, Meladee Hopkins and Rebecca Hopkins; and his sisters, Clara "Pat" Kerns, Gennie Stockdale and Sally Hopkins. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews.
