He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Matesick and Helen Markovich Matesick; his siblings, John Matesick, Nicholas Matesick, Ann Korner and Barbara Mitchell; and his son-in-law Michael Ritz.
He is survived by: his wife Carole Goudy Matesick of Powhatan Point; his children, Melanie Ritz of Shadyside and Todd Matesick of Powhatan Point; his grandson Adam Bier; and his sister Mary "Cookie" Kriechbaum of Powhatan Point. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
