He was predeceased by: his parents, John Kenneth and Margaret Armann Brooks; his wife Janet Haslam Brooks; and his sisters, Wilda Jackson, Virginia Belle Brooks and Margie Phillips.
He is survived by: his children, Daniel Brooks (Joelle) of Waynesburg, Jackie Brooks of Austin, Cheryl Orndorff (Mike) of Powhatan Point and Douglas Brooks (Lacy) of Powhatan Point; and his sisters, Esther Franklin of Reynoldsburg and Abbie Krempasky of Powhatan Point. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
