He is survived by: his son Charles P.; his daughter-in-law Teresa Hypes of Proctorville; his daughters, Carvalho (Frank Fekete), Cheryl (John Neil), Pam (Barry Merlo), Terri (Tim Hardwick), Zina (Tony Ferrell) and Georgia; his grandchildren, Deborah Heninger (Greg), David Michael Merlo (Anna), Aaron Neil, Matthew Hypes (Jessica), Mark Hypes (Sarah), Christopher Hardwick (Jamie), Heather Howard and Jason Howard (Vicky); and his siblings, Arvyl Hypes (Josephine) of Apex, Michael Hypes (Georgene) of Winchester and Eleanor O'Daniel of Gulf Breeze. He is also survived by 22 great grandchildren.
