He was predeceased by : his parents, Francis McComas and Bill "Linsey" McComas; his grandmother Mary White; his daughter-in-law Janet Adkins; and his grandchildren, Mary and Dakota Adkins.
He is survived by : his wife Ruth Swindler Adkins; his son Shawn Adkins; his grandchildren, James Adkins, Andrew Adkins (Sarah) and Kara Adkins (Jaye); his great grandchildren, Sophie and Elijah Adkins; and his brother Mike McComas (Dee). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
