He is survived by: his children, Jack Sowards (Tammy) of Proctorville, Gary Sowards (Trena) of Proctorville and Nesebeth Ann Spires (Lee) of Proctorville; and his grandchildren, Jessica, Jillian, Trevor, Casey, Amanda, Nathan, Tanner, Kyle and Reilly. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
