With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Hubert Ferris (Proctorville, Ohio), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 20, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Hubert departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Hubert. Though Hubert may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Erskin Ferris and May Ferris; his former wife Wilma Gail Ferris (Hilgenberg); and his children, Teresa Chafin and Martin Ferris.
He is survived by: his daughter Ruth Ann Rice of Huntington; his grandchildren, Dustin R. Ferris, Dakota A. Rice and Madison K. Thompson; his sisters, Freda M. Foster of Piketon and Shirley A. Ferris of Chesapeake; Kenny Ferris. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.
