He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Irwin and Marjorie Johnson Irwin; and his brother Thomas R. Irwin. He is survived by: his wife Rita Irwin; his sons, J. L. Irwin (Amy) and H. R. Irwin (Mischelle); his granddaughter Abby Irwin (Eli Bowen); his sister Carol Graham; and his cousin Bob Foraker (Lynn). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
