He is survived by: his wife Beverly Ann Gay; his children, Scott Gay of Proctorville, OH and Jody Gay of Huntington, WV; his grandchildren, Sierra "Booger" Knight, Peyton "Peanut" Knight and Caden "Scooter" Knight; his great grandchildren, Oliver "Oscar" Knight and Xena "Bean" Jarvis; and his sisters, Nancy Foster, Peggy Bond, Kathy Puthoff and Judy Thoman. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
