He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Shepherd and Vena Miller Shepherd; and his brothers, Harold Shepherd, Leeman "Dave" Shepherd, Russell Shepherd and Charles Shepherd.
He is survived by: his children, Lois Schneider (John) of Willow Wood, Sandy Johnson (Lee) of Crown City, Connie Yates of Clinton Township and Tommy Shepherd (Kris) of Willow Wood; his grandchildren, Jeremy Schneider, Lesley Schneider, Dusty Johnson (Erica), Weston Yates (Megan), Tanner Shepherd and Jensyn Whitehead (Bryce); and his great grandchildren, Josie VanMeter, Daniel Johnson, Stella May Johnson, Caroline Johnson and Finntyn Yates.
