He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, James Cusick and Margaret Cusick (Stuber); his wife Sharon; his children, Darren Dowler (Brittany) and Megan Hughes (Shawn); his grandchildren, Mason, Allison and Wyatt; and his siblings, Ann Cartwright (Chris), Jean Willis and Kevin Cusick. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
