It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Tyrus Burgess of Put in Bay, Ohio, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on March 3, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James R. Burgess and Eloise Burgess (Ruh); his brother James R. Burgess; and his siblings-in-law, Judy Burgess and Chuck Lunt.
He is survived by: his children, Tracy Burgess (Sohail Sayeh) of San Ramon, Calif, Tanya Bender (Chad) of Columbus and Tyrus J. Burgess of Buffalo, N. Y.; his grandchildren, Kaveh W. Sayeh, Tyrus N. Sayeh, Sophia K. Bender and Evan W. Bender; his cousins, Susan Mattlin (Robert), John Dodge (Bridget), Roger Dodge, Michele Dodge Heineman, Amanda Mattlin Schutte (Mike) and Amy Fox (Dowd); his sibling's children, Jamey Burgess (Kim), Joslyn Minic (Brent), Michael Conshafter (Lyndsay), Charles "Chip" Duggan, Dianne "Dee Dee" Duggan, Christian Lunt (Kate), Patrick Lunt, Marissa Burd (Matt) and Katherine Woischke (Brian); his siblings-in-law, Sharon Duggan and Tom Lunt (Renata); and his caregiver Jeanne Lunt Burgess.
