Bethany Lawson Obituary
We announce the death of Bethany Lawson of Racine, Ohio, who passed away on August 21, 2026, at the age of 57. Bethany will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Roy, Pauline Mayer, Paul and Ila Darnell; and her uncle Samuel Ray Blackmore.
She is survived by: her parents, Donald William and Linda Lee Mayer (Darnell); her husband Timothy Wesley Lawson; her children, Raymond Wesley Lawson (Emma Nicole) and Melinda Darlene Lawson; her brother Michael Mayer (Kim); her nephew Walker Mayer; her niece Madelyn Mayer; her uncle Paul Darnell (Linda); her aunts, Nancy Jo Saltz (Chuck) and Donna Marie Carr; her cousins, Stephen Saltz, Lesley (Marc), Lilly, Sarah (Chris), Connor and Clayton Feick; her sister-in-law Elizabeth Sanders (Josh); and her niece-in-law Sarah. She is also survived by several other cousins and in-laws.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, August 25th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home (590 E Main St, Pomeroy, OH 45769). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinity Congregational Church of Pomeroy.
