He was predeceased by: his father Leonard McKay; and his parents-in-law, Louis Buza and Eileen Buza. He is survived by: his mother Virginia McKay; his wife Kelli McKay; his daughters, Amanda Lechner (Scott) and Kara McKay; his siblings, Larry McKay, Dennis McKay, Sue Ellen Bryk (Steven) and Randy McKay (Kris); his brothers-in-law, Joe Buza, Todd Buza (Michele) and Jeff Cook; his grandson Brayden Lechner; his close friends, Bert and Lennie Frohnapfel; and his pets, Gracie, Juju and Giblet. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44305, USA). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
