He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Cline and Elizabeth Whitcomb; his stepfather Howard Whitcomb; and his stepbrother Howard Whitcomb Jr. (Chick). He is survived by: his wife Margie Cunningham Cline; his children, Tammy Cline Swope (Jim) and John Cline; his grandchildren, Tyler Swope, Madilyn Cline Daniels (Quintin), Molly Cline and Jacob Cline; his great grandchildren, Ivy Daniels and Tessa Cline; and his stepbrothers, Steve Whitcomb and Bobo Cline.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home (703 E Main St, Ravenna, OH 44266). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 1:15 PM at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery (10175 Rawiga Rd, Seville, OH 44270). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM at the VFW Post 1055 (6000 New Milford Rd, Ravenna, OH 44266).
He took great pride in his military service and continued supporting veterans throughout his life, including through donations to several charities, especially the Wounded Warrior Project.
