With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Frederick Walz Jr. of Ravenna, Ohio, born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on November 10, 2020 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Walz and Mildred Walz; and his siblings, Mary Jane Bonner and Joseph Walz. He is survived by: his siblings, Cathy Jack, Judith Flynn and Rod Walz; his wife Julia; and his children, Jacqui Fetsko (Bob) of Fred Walz, III, Jennifer Ciskanik (Paul), Judy Rose, Becky Irving (Adam), Andrew Walz (Liz) and Matthew (Terrie).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Right to Life of Northeast Ohio.

“Julia and Walz family, We are so sorry to hear of the news Fred Walz. My father Del often spoke of what great neighbors the Walz family were on the old Prospect Street neighborhood. I had many conversations with Fred about triglycerides while working on my doctorate. Fred always had Folder's coffee to share and enjoyed talking about students. I remember when Fred said don't bother getting upset with student evaluations as they either liked you or didn't. God Bless you all, Barb & Mike Shilling”
