Joan C. Monroe Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 8, 2025, at the age of 78, Joan C. Monroe of Ravenna, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Damkov and Esther Damkov (Basel); her husband Robert Monroe; and her sister Carol Ann Stemple. She is survived by: her children, Michale Brna, Brian Brna and Tabitha Monroe (Meredith); her grandchildren, Haleigh Brna, Chris Brna, Allyson Brna and Riley Monroe-Holbrook; her great grandchildren, Aura Jones and Sage Jones; her stepson Matthew Monroe (Kathleen); and her stepgranddaughter Megan.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Homes (141 N Meridian St, Ravenna, OH 44266). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorials should be made to Wounded Warrior Project.
