He was predeceased by: his father Ralph; and his sister Kandy Young. He is survived by: his wife Julie (Matz); his sons, Jason Chambers and Ryan Chambers; his mother Carolyn Bolyard; his stepfather Bud Bolyard; his siblings, Mary Chandler, Denny Chambers, Kim Carr (Tom), Stacy Bolyard (Curt Scott) and Jessika Ferrell (Ron); and his half-siblings, Barbara Anderson (Darren), Corina Whitlatch and Dan Chambers (Shawn).

“I've been looking for John for years and I just found his obituary. I'm so sad that he is gone, we were close friends for many years until I moved out of Ohio for a new job. I was also shocked and sad to learn of Kandy's passing. Deepest condolences to John's family, especially his mom, brothers and sisters.
